Starting from October 8, Henan Scoliosis Research Center has carried out free scoliosis screening activities in several schools. As a company that has been deeply involved in the rehabilitation industry for many years, the center's free scoliosis screening activities are aimed at helping young children to detect, intervene and treat scoliosis early.
Scoliosis has become the third largest health problem for Chinese children and adolescents after myopia and obesity. It is estimated that more than 5 million primary and secondary school students in my country suffer from scoliosis, and the number is still increasing at a rate of 300,000 per year. Improving parents' awareness of foot and spine problems and paying close attention to children's growth and development are important means of preventing and controlling developmental disorders and disabilities. Timely detection and improvement of abnormal body postures of children and adolescents are necessary measures to prevent more serious spinal-related diseases and promote the advancement of health barriers.
"Scoliosis prevention" happens to be the most economical and effective health strategy. During the event, with the support of school teachers and leaders, our center's volunteer medical service team provided free scoliosis screening and popularized scoliosis-related knowledge to nearly a thousand middle and primary school students of different ages.
By vigorously carrying out screening activities, we hope to raise the awareness of the whole society on the importance of foot and spine health for children and adolescents, and popularize how to prevent foot and spine problems and methods of early detection and intervention, so that children can have a healthy growth environment.
